'Maters everywhere...

The explosion has begun. In my garden, that is. I have tomatoes ('maters if you're from the south) everywhere. Also in my garden I planted cucumbers, yellow squash (I make a killer squash patty), Japanese eggplant, jalapeno peppers, yellow bell peppers (I think or they might be red) and onions. I *love* to play in my garden. I go outside every day and pinch the little "suckers" off the 'mater plants.

Shop News: It's here! The Nature's Palette Silk & Wool Laceweight yarn. Hand dyed from natural dyes by Darlene Hayes of Hand Jive Knits, this tightly spun yarn is a winner. I love it. I haven't been this excited about a silk blend yarn in a long time. This is the yarn that Clara Parkes gave such high reviews a couple of weeks ago on her site, Knitters Review. Clara is also author of the fabulous book, The Knitter's Book of Yarn: The Ultimate Guide to Choosing, Using, and Enjoying Yarn.

We also have some great lace patterns to compliment this fabulous yarn. For beginning knitters to those who love a challenge.

Your 'maters look awesome. Just think of all the good eating you are going to have. We have 'maters up here also. Ohio is not quite south and also not quite north. I guess we are a 'tweenie. lol

Oh my, your 'maters look so nice. I don't even have any planted yet. I may have to do patio plants this year since I couldn't get my BIL to till for me. Or I may just have to visit the farmer's market for mine this year : (

WOW! I am SO jealous. Not only do we NOT have tomatoes yet, we're hoping our plants don't die of the Spring Winds. We were told that it gets windy in the spring, but no one said anything about 40 mph winds. Sheesh.
